Is the colour dependent on the gloss?

Home » Info Centre » FAQ » Is the colour dependent on the gloss?

The appearance of a sample is significantly influenced by its colour and gloss.

The gloss is perceived more strongly as more directed light is reflected. On flat, smooth surfaces, we perceive the gloss  much more clearly because the light is reflected in a directed manner.

With rough surfaces, the light is diffusely reflected in other directions.

A glossy black surface is darker than a dull black surface.
