45°/0° and d/8° geometries in one device

For our spectrophotometers ColorLite has developed a probe head adapter, which easily converts the 45°/0° device into a d/8° device.
For our spectrophotometers ColorLite has developed a probe head adapter, which easily transforms the 45°/0° device into a d/8° device. In the paint and coatings industry, both measuring geometries are used. The d/8° geometry is of advantage if the test result should not be influenced by surface gloss. The 0°/45° geometry is particularly suitable if the results should correspond to the visual impression. Especially surfaces with high gloss value will show a difference in results. The ColorLite sph850 and sph900 combine the advantages of both measurement geometries in one device. Suppliers do not need two spectrophotometers to comply with the specifications of different customers, who may traditionally be using different geometries.
